ABOUT US

Our story starts in 1981 with humble beginnings in an old school bus in the small town of Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania. Two young whitewater rafting guides, Fred Wright and Scott Bortree, decided to take up screen printing as a part-time business in order to earn some extra money.

Within just a few short years, Ohiopyle Prints, Inc. had grown into a national company providing products across the country. Like most successful business ideas, MyTown Originals began with a customer request. One day a small grocery store called and asked for shirts with the town's name printed on them. Fred and Scott thought this was a novel idea, and like all good business people, they provided what their customer requested. They were pleasantly surprised when the customer called back to reorder more and more product! Their shoppers loved them, and as a result, MyTown Originals was born to fill this simple need. Since then hundreds of Ohiopyle Prints employees, customers and vendors have contributed to make MyTown Originals the great product that it is today.

MyTown Originals now sells to top retailers in all 50 states and has produced high-quality, fashionable gifts and souvenirs for almost every town, big and small. We'd like to thank all of our loyal customers who've supported us over the years, and to express how much we've enjoyed helping millions of people connect with their local town and school spirit.

CONSERVATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL FOCUS

We are located in Ohiopyle Pennsylvania, in the beautiful Laurel Highlands. We border one of Pennsylvania’s largest state parks, a popular destination for whitewater enthusiasts, hikers, bikers, and sightseers that attracts millions of visitors annually.

As part of our passion for the outdoors, we strive to protect our local natural resources by continuing to reduce our waste stream and remain an environmentally safe company.  Some of our efforts toward sustainability include chemical and water reclamation, recycling, and a commitment to utilizing up to 50% in green power.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

As our company has grown from a two-man operation to one of the country’s largest providers of decorated apparel, we’ve realized that the heart of our operation is our people. Therefore, our commitment to social responsibility includes a focus on giving back to our customers and community through support of a variety of local and national humanitarian efforts.
